There has never been an international art fair in Baden, Austria – although the conditions have always been ideal. The historic Casino Baden, located in the former imperial Kurhaus, offers a unique and prestigious setting: a fully air-conditioned grand casino, combining architectural splendour with state-of-the-art infrastructure.

art.baden is conceived as a summer retreat for art – addressing international galleries, collectors and art professionals who appreciate a slower, more concentrated art fair experience. Late opening hours create a refined late-night art experience, embedded in the cultural and social life of the city.

The fair focuses on contemporary art presented in gallery-led exhibitions. At the same time – true to Baden’s historical identity as an imperial residence – dedicated sections will also highlight Modern Art, Fine Art and established art dealers.

Art Deco and Modernist movements were once radical and contemporary in their own time. art.baden embraces this historical perspective, following the Viennese Secession’s credo:

Alongside gallery presentations, curated artist statements will offer insight into current artistic tendencies and discourse.
